ARTHUR BECKENHAM, the Chartered Institute of Transport's director of education and training, is retiring for health reasons after 12 years in the post.
Mr Beckenham, who is 56, was previously director of transport studies at the Polytechnic of North West London, and was employed by British Railways before serving with the Royal Engineers.
