TOLEMAN• AUTOMOTIVE has ordered 165 new 165.24 rigid, drawbar, chassis cabs from Iveco (UK), which will be fitted with special Lohr car transporter bodies and trailers.
The 165.24 rigid, with a watercooled 9.6 litre engine developing 177kW (240bhp) is designed to operate at up to 35 tonnes gcw and will be delivered from lveco's Unic factory at Trappes near Paris direct to Lohr's factory in Strasbourg where bodies and trailers will be fitted. The total order, worth over £6.5m, will be completed by the end of 1983.
Toleman already operates 150 Magirus vehicles in a fleet of 400.
