AN order for 50 'Regal Mark IV chassis has been placed with the A.C.V. expert sales division through A.E.C. (Australia) Pty., Ltd.. by Adelaide Municipal Tramways Trust. A 19-ft. 6-in, wheelbase has been specified, and a special material will have to be used for the cooling system because of the high mineral .content of the local water supply.
Over the past two years, three tenders have, been invited by Australian municipal authorities and A.E.C., it is stated, have won each of them. They were for 69 Rep.'s for Melbourne in 1951, 10 Regals for Brisbane in 1953, and now that from Adelaide.
