In connection with the failure of certain bus proprietors to observe the licensing conditions, the clerk has advised the Eston Urban District Council that nothing could be done until the time came for the renewal of licences, when the conduct of bus proprietors could be taken into consideration, and, if infringements could be proved, the licences could be refused.
Self-Sealing Rubber Co.'s Report.
The 33rd annual report of the SelfSealing Rubber Co., Ltd., shows that the company made a net profit of £8,096 in the year ended September 30th last, after making provision for depreciation, income tax and other charges, to which sum £3,686 brought forward from the previous year has to be added. Of the total of £11,782, an interim dividend of six per cent., free of tax, has absorbed 11,500, whilst an additional dividend of 18 per cent., free of tax, will account for a further £4,500; the carry-forward is thus 15,782.
