The well-known Duplex-type brake manufactured by the Timken Detroit Axle Ca., the concessionnaires in this conntry for which are the Automotive Products Co., 3, Berners Street, London, W.1, is now being 'arranged for operation by oil under pressure. The operating cylinders are mounted at the ends of the brake levers instead of in the brake drums, and a small wormgear adjustment is provided to take up slack.
The system is also applicable to frontwheel brakes and is utilized in the new type W Yellow bus—a make which is so well known in America.
