BEVAN GROUP SAYS it can help UK bodybuilders who are struggling to cope with the introduction of European Whole Vehicle Type Approval.
The West Midlands-based company, which in 2009 became the irst UK bodybuilder to comply with the latest European legislation, says the process was “lengthy, complicated and extremely time-consuming”, and as a result many smaller companies will struggle to comply. “We have spoken to some bodybuilders who say they will be forced to cease trading,” says Bevan Group operations director Lee Dimmock.
He explains that the Bevan Group can throw a lifeline to such companies by making them licensees, thus allowing them to trade under its quality management systems, meaning they could be covered by its own Whole Vehicle Type Approval certiication. Alternatively, it can help to guide companies through the legislation.
“We can help to keep bodybuilding alive and well in this country,” says Dimmock.
