I WOULD LIKE to say a very big thank you to the whole team at the Welford Cafe truckstop in Welford, Northamptonshire.
After stopping for breakfast there a couple of weeks’ ago, I noticed I had lost my wallet – along with all my cards, a considerable amount of cash and the usual bits and pieces.
I phoned them on the off-chance that someone might have handed it in, and was extremely relieved to ind that they had found it and held it there for me.
Not only am I thanking them for their honesty, but they also went to every effort to ind my contact details to let me know.
As I am ex-directory, they hadn’t been able to, but everything was there waiting for me when I collected it.
It would be lovely to see a thank you in your magazine – I am not a regular at this truckstop but visit when passing, as the food is always good.
I thank them again for their honesty and integrity.
