like? I can't say I have. Davies Magnet Group, however, has donated a DM fifthwheel, mounted upside down, to Midland BRS driver training centre.
The upside-down demo unit, says training manager David Tarbuck, is very good for "showing trainees how a modern fifth-wheel works. They never see underneath."
Drivers on training courses can see the DM double-jaw action and appreciate how the square locking-block holds the jaws firmly closed around a trailer king pin, without risk of being dislodged by towing or turning forces, says Davies Magnet. The system is now exclusive to DM fifth-wheels. Now you know.
