Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

AMS/OIL claims significant cost savings by users who have switched from conventional mineral oils to synthetic lubricants.

Case studies show that by using synthetic grease the numbers of shots per greasing can be more than halved, and that replacements of shackles may be reduced by two-thirds, and greasing intervals extended from two to six weeks. In the USA, Ryder Truck Rental has been using synthetic esterbased lubricants in the transmissions and gearboxes of all its 69,000 vehicles for the last three years.

Now drain intervals are said to have been eliminated for light and medium-duty trucks and extended to 250,000 miles for heavy-duty trucks.

ASM/OIL automotive synthetic lubricants are distributed in the UK by a national network of dealers. Additional benefits claimed include fuel savings of up to 10 per cent, protection against high temperature deposits, easier starting in cold weather and reduction in engine wear.
