A TI REARGUARD rear underrun protection assembly mounted on a Dodge Commando G13 demountable chassis conversion recently proved its worth.
The vehicle was returning to main agent R. Cripp and Company of Birstall after being rust proofed when it was struck in the rear by a light van at an estimated impact speed of 20mph.
Inverted tubular energy-absorbing cartridges, fitted each side and designed to collapse in a controlled manner, prevented any damage to the chassis and were replaced in less than an hour.
