Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Chubb to Gloster

GLOSTER Saro, Hawker Siddeley Group's specialist vehicle manufacturer and road tanker bodybuilder, is to acquire the major part of Chubb Fire Security's crash tender and rapid intervention vehicle business for approximately Um.

On completion of purchase, Gloster Saro will transfer the manufacture of Chubb vehicles, presently built at Feltham, to its own factory at Hucclecote in Gloucester. According to Chubb, there will be a "phased redundancy" of the 200-plus Feltham workforce over the next six months, although the exact number will depend on the final terms of the purchase.

The company will gain all Chubb vehicles currently under manufacture as well as its order book and some equipment from the Feitham plant. The current Chubb Protector, Pathfinder and Patroller range is expected to continue with the Chubb name for an "unspecified period."

The agreement will mean "considerable growth" in export sales as the company will extend its existing Meteor and Javelin model ranges. The transfer of business will also mean an eventual recruitment of additional staff at Hucclecote, says Gloster Saro.
