• Special moves to counter accidents to youngsters using school buses are being examined by the Government.
Ideas put forward in the Commons by Mr Michael Shaw (Tory, Scarborough and Whitby) were compulsory distinctive signs on the buses and rules for the stopping of traffic when a school bus was loading or discharging passengers -suggestions which, said Mr Eldon Griffiths, Under-Secretary DoE, were under consideration.
