ACOMPETITION for laundry vans has been organized by Lime-Free Water and General Services, Ltd.. in connection with the Laundry Dry Cleaning and Allied Trades' Exhibition, to be staged at Olympia front September 28-October 7.

Some 600 laundries were circularized ád 89 photographic entries were made. These were inspected List Monday by four independent judges, including the Editor of "The Commercial Motor." The points taken into consideration were (a) the general suitability of design of the vehicle as a whole. and its appearance. and (b) special suitability for the work to be undertaken.

The awards, which will be presented at the exhibition, comprise the LimeFree Challenge Cup and gold, silver and bronze medals. The winners, in order of merit, were May Cottage Laundry. Slough; Potters Bar Laundry, Potters Bar; American Laundry, Ltd., Padiham; and Franco-British Laundry, Croydon.
