A Range of Interchangeable Bodies Designed for the Morris Chassis.

THERE must be many business people to whom the idea of an interchangeable body would appeal, so that the week-ends the vehicle could be

used as a private ear. This can be achieved by the W: and F. interchangeable body, which is designed specially for the Morris-Cawley chassis, and for the price of 1251—£195 for the fourseater Morris-Cowley car, £44 for the delivery van and £12 delivery charges one has all the advantages of own-. lag two distinct vehicles.

The conversion from van to touring Car only occupies a,very few minutes, 4,1,110 operation consisting solely of removing and replacing four bolts. It will be Seen, 'on 'reference to the illustrations on this page, that the touring body is divided immediately behind the front door, with the result that the body is indistinguishable from that of the ordinary Morris-Cowley fourseater. As a matter of fact, the, body is a standard Morris Production, and is altered by the patentees so as to make it interchangeable.

The delivery van is built on a substantial oak under-structure and strong framework; panelled with heavy-gauge sheet metal and fitted with specially designed hinges and double-bolt action lock to the rear doors, oval lights in the sides and rear and with a quickly detachable, well-upholstered back rest. Ample weather protection is provided There are three other bodies made-naniely, a sheep truck and milk float, each selling at £40, and a platform loiTy Which sells at £35.

Tim sheep truck, which is particularly designed for the use of livestock dealers, farmers and butchers, is fitted with a centre-hinge tailboard, easily re

movable solid sides and additional lattice extensions, while oak slats on the floor provide a grip for the animals' hoofs. Hood and extensions are in eluded in the price. The overall length at the sides is 6 ft., the length behind the ,seat 4 ft. 6 ins, and the overall width 5 ft.

The milk-float body will carry (Mir 18-gallon churns, two on a detachable platform at the rear of the striving seat and two in a well. In addition to the hood and extensions, rings to secure the churns and a detachable rear step sad sockets for small delivery cans are provided.. The tailboard is made to hinge and drop.

The platform lorry is suitable for butchers, greengrocers and light hauliers. In this case the driving seat is built into the lorry body ; the hood is also detachable with the body and the extensions, and, in conjunction with ordinary door curtains, ensures full protection from the weather. The frontseat cushion of the touring car is used and a loose protecting cover is supplied.

The delivery-van and milk-float bodies weigh 2i cwt., the sheep truck 2-i cwt. and the platform lorry 2 cwt. These bodies can also be fitted to 1925 model long-wheelbase Morris-Oxford cars, and in such cases an extra charge of £.2 per body is made.

The manufacturers are Whitehead and Furness, Ltd., Dukinfiad, and the bodies can also be supplied by Stewart and Ardern, Ltd., 371, Ruston Road, London, N.W.1.
