The tramways committee of the Glasgow Corporation has received representatives of the Burgh of Milngavie regarding the conditions which they' propose to attach to their consent to the running of a bus service betweenHillfoot Bridge and Milngavie, viz., that the tramways department (1) maintain the route from Allender Terrace to Sttathblane Road to the satisfaction of the burgh surveyor of Milngavie during the period for which permission to run buses is granted ; and (2) pay the cost of two point policemen.
After an interchange of views the committee agreed to recommend that the conditions laid down -by the burgh authorities -be not agreed to, and that the proposal to run the bus service referred to be departed from in the meantime.
