The use of onboard vehicle cameras is another growing trend. Among those promoting such systems this year will be !drive (4K30), with its X1 two-camera and D4 four-camera recording systems; and SmartWitness (5D70), which is showcasing a black box recorder that continuously records braking and acceleration speeds and collision G-force, in addition to vehicle location and speed data.
Another camera system, the Defender-Pro, will be launched over at RoadPixel (4H04). The system provides forward-facing and in-cab recordings in high-def resolution. Brigade Electronics (4E90), meanwhile, is using the show to launch its Smarteye system, designed to give drivers a bird's-eye view of their vehicle for manoeuvring purposes.
