Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Keywords : Tachograph

roll, which gave us plenty of confidence to drive that bit quicker into the sweeping bends along the A485 from Newtown down to Llandrindod Wells.

By contrast we were disappointed by the lack of manoeuvrability in tight spots. Not an asset for an urban delivery vehicle—and neither are the blind spots down the passenger's side and especially round the driver's door towards the front axle. To be fair on MAN we could make the same criticism of most other rigids too.

Cab quality

After just a year spent on local work the Urban cab has hardly had time to age. Even the driver's footwell looks relatively unruffled, with no obvious signs of wear and tear.

Storage comprises a large tray running across the back of the cab behind the seats for bottles, sandwich boxes or large map books; three central

trays which would be ideal for tachograph pouches, pens and the like; good sized door pockets for bottles and a Cardiff A-to-Z; and a neat little storage area above the ashtray and cigarette lighter which is for charging and storing your mobile phone. The centre seat is just right for paperwork.

The Steyr-originated Urban day cab is not the biggest of workspaces and claustrophobia could be a problem on long runs, but it's ideal for local work—more space would only allow the driver to makc more of a mess.

Forward and sideways vision is excellent although the driver's mirror is slightly obscured by the quarterlight door stem.

CM verdict

MA N's reputation is safe in the hands of V753 HDW, which comes across as a solid, reliable workhorse. The driving experience is not the most pleasurable but operators probably won't expect their drivers to spend that long in the cab.

Chris Hodge Trucks is selling this truck below the Cap book price, and considering its very low mileage, competitive fuel consumption and sound driveline that sounds like a very good deal.
