Daf, is expected to announce pre-tax profits in excess of .C20m for last year, when its results are published next month.

In the latest phase of LDV's recovery following the collapse of Leyland Daf in 1993, profits look set to rise by 10% on the 1994 figure. Turnover for 1995 will be around LaXhn.

The Birmingham-based group will shortly launch the "Bulldog" range of restyled vehicles based on the 200 and 400 vans. LDV expects output to rise to 17,000, up 2,000 on the 1994 figure.
