Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• More than 50 people have so far contacted the Good Lorry Code freephone number to praise and criticise truck drivers in the trial areas of Medway and Bristol (CM 29 Feb-6 Mar).

The scheme, launched by the Freight Transport Association last month, will run for a threemonth trial and if successful will go nationwide.

Its aim is to enhance the public's perception of the haulage industry and improve driver safety.

So far about 12 companies have joined the scheme including Marks & Spencer, Somerfield, Shell and Boots.

The 800 trucks in the scheme carry the "WELL DRIVEN" logo and the freephone number 0800 22 55 33 to enable the public to audit the code.

A spokeswoman from the FTA said: "We've had a 50/50 mix of calls. One, for instance, said a truck driver had jumped a red light but another one praised a driver for helping a lady."

She also admitted there had been a few prank responses, one signed off "from Legoland".
