Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Commercial Motor's Lost Wheels campaign has raised more than £13,000 for research into the Lost Wheels Mystery. The money, donated by operators and members of the CV industry, will now fund further research into the problem by engineering consultant Don Wright.

As chairman of the British Standard Institute's wheels and tyres technical committee he has been commissioned to produce the first British Standard for CV wheel fixings, and also to revise the current standard on wheel design.

CM's Wheel Loss fund follows on from the campaign from the Institute of Road Transport Engineers. Several IRTE centres have contributed to the wheel loss fund along with the RHA — and British Telecom has showed its commitment to safety with a £10,000 donation.

Last week CM editor Brian Weatherley handed over a cheque for £13,312 to Wright at the BSI's London base — but the fund is still open, and contributions can be made by sending cheques made out to Commercial Motor Wheels Fund, to CM at Room 403, Quadrant House, The Quadrant, Sutton, Surrey SM2 5AS.
