Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Increases in truck tyre life of up to 125% are being claimed for a compound called Everbalance. The savings were achieved during an eleven-month trial with Volvo/GM in the DS and are said to come from the wheels being constantly in balance.

The product is applied with a spatula to the inside of a tubeless tyre before it is fitted to the wheel; it is a semi-solid polymer which turns into a liquid when vibrated by out-of-balance wheels. Once in a liquid form centrifugal force distributes the compound round the inside of the tyre until it is balanced. This stops the vibration and the product becomes semisolid again. The process can be repeated indefinitely.

Everbalance comes in lkg tubs. priced at £29. Large truck tyres require about 1.5kg each.
