• Growing sales in Great Britain helped Daimler-Benz hold on to its number one position in the West European truck market last year.

During 1986 DB sold 64,918 trucks above 3.5 tonnes GVW to give it a 26.39% share of the European market which amounted to 246,033 vehicles last year — up 5.2% over 1985.
