Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

March) regarding Leyland Daf, makes me wonder which world he lives in.

We operate 32 Roadtrain 32and 38-tormers and work them hard. The Eagle/Perkins are a dream, economical and troublefree, all the units have Spicer boxes which are easy to use and liked by all our drivers. All the boxes have been completely trouble-free as we have yet to remove a gearbox for repair. Some of the vehicles have now covered more than 1,000,000 kilometres and three units just over two years old have each covered more than 460,000 kilometres without so much as an oil seal leak.

As for the Daf engine, it would now appear to be long in the tooth and still prone to head stud failures. We ran a new Eagle 800 Series 300LE for 12 months, 240,000 kilometres and not even a drive belt adjustment required, now there is a future generation engine.

The Roadtrain is going from strength to strength, let's hope Leyland can keep it. Even if it has to have a Daf badge I hope that's the only change they'll make.
