• Is this how the next Freight Rover Sherpa van will look? This stylish artist's impression recently appeared in a recruitment advertisement by FR, for project engineers.
It is no secret that FR has a new van model planned for the early 1990s, or that prototype vehicles are currently being tested.
According to the company's product planning director John Hall, however, the sketch is one which was used during a styling programme hut which has since been rejected. Hall says that FR does plan a model launch for the early 1990s "and development is now at a stage implied by such a launch."
