Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Parcels carrier ANC is continuing its fleet expansion and vehicle replacement programme with the addition of 15 new Leyland Roadrunners, four MAN LT5Os and two lveco Ford Dailys, with all the trucks supplied by Intertrail Rentals on contract hire.

The latest order for vehicles, which includes a maintenance clause, comes less than a month after ANC took delivery of 15 ERF replacement tractive units — again on contract hire (see Commercial Motor Business News, March 12).

According to ANC's David Boon, the company is already investing £500,000 on contract hire vehicles, not only to replace existing trucks, but to also handle the extra business ANC has recently picked up.

The 15 Leyland 8.13 Roadrunners will be based in London, Exeter, the Midlands and at ANC's headquarters at Stoke-on-Trent, while the LT5Os will operate from the Midlands and South West of England. The Iveco Ford Dailys will be used for deliveries in and around London.
