A NEW combined escape hatch and ventilator, called the Libvent, has been introduced by Weathershields of Birmingham.

Sales manager John Etherington said he expected the Government soon to recommend that hatches should be fitted in the roofs of new British coaches. At present similar hatches are exported all over Europe and are compulsory equipment in Holland. They are among requirements included in GR5A regulations.
