ANEW tool designed for eitracting studs is being made by E. R. Varney, Ltd., 281, Western Bank, Sheffield, 10, and distributed by Hinsdale Distributing Co., 9-11, Holywell Hill, St. Albans, Herts.

Construction is of drop-forged alloy steel and the extractor can deal with studs from i-in. to 1-in. diameter. It may be used with a f-in. tee bar. It is claimed that it i& impossible for the tool to slip, because the pressure is exerted through the spindle and the wheel, and not through the body.
