• The Trades Union Congress is to launch a second week's campaign in October encouraging workers to name and shame bullying bosses. Last year a similar campaign received over 5,000 calls.
• A driver of a Toyota truck has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving after a collision at the A470/A438 junction near Brecon in Powys killed two car drivers.
• A fire at the main overseas warehouse of The Shore Porters Society of Aberdeen has caused up to £4m-worth of damage including the destruction of antiques and customers' furniture. Firefighters say the cause of the fire on 27 August is still under investigation.

• TNT Post Group has recorded a net profit of 2182m in the first half of 1998, an 18% rise on figures for the First half of 1997.
