• A survey of skin care in paintshops shows poor awareness and neglect by employees, says Deb Automotive.
In the 79 paintshops surveyed, ma used thinners to remove paint soilings and only 41ll wore gloves when spraying two pack paints.
Using thinners will remove fat from skin and can cause dermatitis, while chemicals from the paint on uncleaned hands can seep into the pores, says the company.
