No-go junction • The South Mimms Interchange between the Al(M) and the M25 will be closed for urgent repairs from 8 September for eight days. The Department of Transport is advising drivers to avoid the area altogether while concrete carriageway repairs and bridge re-waterproofing are carried out.
Seddon settles • Wymondham-based Gales Commercial Vehicles has been appointed main distributor for Seddon Atkinson in Norfolk, Suffolk and North Essex. Seddon's main North-east distributor Longfield Road Motors, has moved to larger premises at Stockton on Tees.
Trimoco fend-off • The board of motor distributor Trimoco, which owns three Iveco Ford dealerships, has rejected a takeover bid from shareholder Hartwell. The board says the bid of 17.5p per share "undervalues the company by 20%".
