• Ten police forces are evaluating the new 4x4 Ford Transit. The 4WD model will go on sale early next year, but will not be shown at the Motor Show in October.
The models on trial with the police are all personnel carriers and Ford is considering a raised height option, following comments by users.
The raised height will fill the gap between the off-road County 4x4 conversion and the road going all-wheel-drive model.
