LIABILITY SEMINARS • One-day seminars designed to make the retail motor industry aware of product liability are being held by the Road Transport Industry Training Board and Arlington Motor Holdings.
The seminars look at the practical applications of the 1987 Consumer Protection Act, and how it affects dealers, customers and manufacturers.
Product liability means that anyone who has been harmed by a defective product can demand compensation without having to prove negligence. The seminars will suggest measures that can be taken to protect companies in the light of this.
