Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

WE HAVE BEEN advised that Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher h called on John Selwyn Gummer, Employment Under Secretary prepare a speech for her to present at the Conservative Party Cc ference.

Mr Selwyn Gummer has to be in attendance at the Tory party conference and has therefore withdrawn at the eleventh hour from our Fleet Management Conference programme.

We feel badly treated on this matter and apologise to our 400 readers who have already registered for the conference on October 13.

However, we are grateful to our industrial relations corre spondent Douglas Ainley w has agreed to step into t breach and present a paper the subject.

Mr Ainley is not only authoritative speaker on t subject but is also a practisi transport manager. His par will therefore be more practii than theoretical or political.

We are sure that this arrangement of our programr will not detract from the qual of FMC 83.
