A NEW managing director is taking control of the Blackburn-based Primrose Group, which is engaged in commercial vehicle bodybuilding and engineering.
He is John Pickles, who was previously sales director of the Primrose Third Axle Company, which has recently been enjoying extra business as operators convert their vehicles for 38-tonne operation.
His main additional responsibilities will be with PTH Clithe roe, which makes tail lifts and mechanical handling equipment, but Primrose also has interests in the motorcycle and motorised caravan markets and in plastics.
The previous managing director, Graham Harper, has left to pursue other interests.
