AS part of a plan to improve standards of vehicle maintenance, the Western area maintenance advisory committee has drawn up a maintenance schedule and inspection record ft5rm.
The form will be made generally available at a cost of 4s. 6d. for 25; 8s. for 50 and 15s. for 100, including postage. The committee will shortly be issuing a similar schedule for trailers and semitrailers.
The system set out in the form is based on a four-weekly (or 1,000-mile) inspection of 46 listed items, and provision is made for the addition of others. A positive report has to be made that each item is either in order or has been 'rectified.
