A WARNING that the Bench would
have to take more serious notice of cases where drivers were summoned for driving vehicles with insecure loads was given by the chairman of Birkenhead magistrates court last week. Such cases were becoming too prevalent, he added.
The magistrates imposed a fine of £.3 on Eric Renshall, Manor Lea, Ford Lane, Upton, for using a vehicle with an insecure load. It was alleged that 240 milk bottles fell from the vehicle as it rounded a corner. Renshall told a police officer that the crates did not fit properly.
