from British Road -Services has been made by Robsons Border Transport, Ltd., 34 Lowther Street, Carlisle. The latest one comprises seven vehicles (23 tons 14 cwt.). Robson'slast purchase was reported in The Commercial Motor on August 20.

Two of these vehicles (5 tons 3 cwt.) have been made over to Robinson Transport (Carlisle), Ltd., 12 Etterby Lea Grove, Carlisle, and two(5 tons 7 cwt.) to Messrs. J. C. and W. Nicholson W. S. Nicholson and Sons). 56 Brigham Road, Cockermouth.

Special A licences have also been granted to I, Millican (Penton), Ltd., Low Plains, Penton, , Carlisle, for two vehicles (11 tons 14 cwt.), and W. G. Thomas and Co., Ltd., Whitehouse Garage, MidiResbroagh, for five vehicles and two trailers (2$ tons 18 cwt.), assigned by Mr. W. G. Thomas, Whitehouse Garage, Middlesbrough.

Western Areas Special A licences have been granted to W. J. Lamey and Sons, Ltd., Bidna Yard, Aopledore, for 13 vehicles, including two articulated outfits (34 tons 17 cwt.); Mr. D. E. Good, Pioneer Garage, Beer, seven (20 ions 14 cwt.), of which four (I/ tons 16 cwt.) have been
