Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

AN oil-engined version of the JenTug tractor will be exhibited at the • Commercial Motor Show by Jensen Motors, Ltd., West Bromwich. It has a payload rating of 3-31 tons with semitrailer. The tractive unit is powered by a new B.M.C. four-cylindered 2.2-litre engine which develops 55 b.h.p. at 3,500 r.p.m. It has C.A.V. fuel-injection equipment, and Lodge heater plugs assist starting from cold.

A 10-in, single-dry-plate clutch takes the drive to a four-speed gearbox-having a top ratio of 6.57 to 1 and a low ratio of 24.9 to 1. The gear lever is mounted on the steering column.

A trailing-link coupling takes he drive from the gearbox to a spiral-beveldriven rear axle.

Hydro-mechanical braking is adopted on the tractive unit, an optional extra being a servo for the brakes on the semi-trailer.
