THE FREIGHT Transport Association has called on the organisers for the Commonwealth Games, which is being held in Glasgow next year, to provide the industry with more information so contingency plans can be made.
Drawing on experience from the London 2012 Olympic Games, it urged organisers to provide information about changes to routes around Glasgow as soon as possible to help the event's logistics providers and local operators.
Unlike London, the Commonwealth Games has no dedicated team to support the industry.
