HOYER UK, PART of the giant German-owned Hoyer Group, boosted its pre-tax profit by almost £1m in its latest financial year.

Figures for the year ending 31 December 2004 show the domestic and international bulk liquid transport operator increased its pre-tax profit from £13m to £2.2m; gross profit on sales climbed by just over £2m, from £12.6m to £14.7m, on a turnover of £108m.

Meanwhile, the Hoyer Group, based in Hamburg, increased its total turnover in 2004 by 11.6% to £494m (€730m).
