Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Tester's impression: The lveco Daily has previously fallen into the "also-ran" category in CMtesting a case of the total being less than the sum of the parts if you will, Though there were several things it did wet, these were never enough to nudge it into the contender spot. But with the addition of a new 3.0litre engine, six-speed gearbox and other assorted refinements and tightening of screws there were plenty of positives to record on this example. Combine this advancement with a "truck" style chassis and there may just be a hint of a comeback in the offing.

The interior is as uninspiring as ever with a dashboard that could be mistaken for a child's play centre, though there seems to be a new found solidity to the switchgear. On the road everything seems that bit tighter in operation and the engine becomes a distant murmur with road noise surprisingly well suppressed. On the engine tip the new 3.0-litre unit is enable performer with a strong torque delivery combining well with the dash-mounted gearshift. It feels unshakeable through corners, even fully laden, and has an underlying toughness not evident in some of the other group members. With a bullet-proof chassis comes a feeling of reassurance that the Ingimex Titan lightweight tipper body is ably strapped and capable of taking a full payload repeatedly. This example came with Iveco's "heavy-duty" package that includes up-rated suspension and tyres for improved ability off-road The tipper unit was flawless in operation -the hand held controls simple to use and the catches required minimum effort. These elements of refinement have bounced the Daily up the chart.

Until year end all DriveAway tippers and dropsides registered will include either a SmartNav Satellite Navigation system or three years free servicing.
