Transit can now be supplied by Bonwitco of Kingsbridge, Devon. The glass-fibre over-cab sleeper pod can be fitted in around four days, and cost around £1,271 (ex-VAT).
The sleeper weighs around 70kg and, although space is fairly limited, there is a 2 x0.610m bed, and a 180mm strip along the side for storage.
The pod has a window on the offside of the vehicle and an emergency kick-out panel on the nearside. Two marine-type ventilators are also fitted. The materials used in trimming the inside comply with the British Standard non-inflammable standard BS 2528 part two, and the carpet is made of Polyester.
