WESTERN ICE and Cold Storage plans to open its new Oxford Road, Reading, cold store early next year.
The site, close to the M4, will have capacity for 4,000 pallets, an operating temperature of —30°C, and is in addition to six store chambers already in use there.
And a 1.3mcuft extension to Christian Salvesen Food Services' Nuneaton cold store has been completed ahead of schedule and is now in operation.
The company is also expanding its Zellick cold store in Belgium, with completion scheduled for early next year.
