I must take Bob Wilkins to task. He only attended one meeting of the BAOD steering committee, and I was present as the Thames Valley Owner-Drivers Association representative.
My personal opinion of Mr Wilkins is that he came to the meeting as an insurance broker and not as an owner-driver. To quote his own words, "I would have to take on a staff of six in order to cope with the extra work involved if I took on the BAOD insurance business."
I'm sure I speak for all owner-drivers when I say we can conduct our own affairs without the assistance of non-ownerdrivers.
