Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

to make coach expeditions both at home and abroad. Where can we get all the relevant information as to whether this is a feasible proposition and how to go about buying a second-hand coach? We might consider a double-decker.

AAs you imply there are a large number of regulations with which you would be concerned.

You do not say what arrangements you have in mind for financing any expedition or whether this would amount to payment of separate fares. But in any event you would be well advised to obtain the explanatory leaflet PSV/A explaining the procedure for applying for the various licences which may be necessary from your local Traffic Commissioner before entering into any financial commitment.

Recently the AA has published a booklet entitled Taking a Coach Abroad which fulfils a similar purpose for intending operators on the Continent.

As to where to buy a used coach or doubledecker we would refer you to the classified advertisements of COMMERCIAL MOTOR. Additionally you could write to any of the large operators in your area who, as part of their vehicle replacement policy, will regularly have old vehicles for sale.
