Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

soil, hardcore and rubbish. I have now been asked to move scrap iron which my intending customer classifies as rubbish. But my competitors insist that scrap iron is not rubbish. What is the position?

AThere is a distinction between "scrap"

and "rubbish" in respect of conditions specified on a carrier's licence. Whereas scrap could be of value to another party, rubbish is considered materially of no value to anyone. Therefore these two terms are not interchangeable as a condition of licence.
