MR. N. J. CLARK of the New Zealand Road Carriers Association, who is travelling the world on a transport scholarship and arrived at the RHA conference in Bournemouth, sees the advent of deepsea container ships as an additional link in a chain forged 150 years ago. "Which may do more to bind us than even Le General", he said.
Even Mr. Clark could not miss the opportunity to make an oblique reference to our Minister. When he presented a Maori doll to Phil Turner, he said: "She is endowed with greater witchcraft than any doll you have ever had to deal with."
"I wonder", said the RHA chairman.
