THE Hull and East Riding area of the TRTA Yorkshire division has regularly met for its annual dinner at Hammonds Restaurant, Hull, and it always seems a very good "do". This year the service was as good as ever but the decor and furnishings were strikingly new.
Most people took this as part of the Hammonds' service—but some put two and two together and came up with the thought that the area chairman, presiding for the occasion, was also transport manager of Hammonds Ltd.
But he politely scotched this. "I've no undue influence in the matter", said Mr. Newlove.
