B. C. BRUCE-GARDNER has been appointed chairman of Metropolitan-Cammell (Holdings) Ltd. and its subsidiaries, Metropolitan-Cammell Ltd. and MetropolitanCammell-Weymann Ltd. He was previously deputy chairman. A. J. F. Andrews relinquished his chairmanship of the three companies with effect from last Tuesday, says the board, "owing to the increasing commitments of his other business interests". A. M. Simmers has been appointed deputy chairman.
Philip Arthur Vine, 43: deputy general manager, Hull Corporation's transport department in succession to A. Andrew, who has retired. Mr. Vine will take up his new duties at the beginning of December subject to his release from his present post as commercial assistant, Cardiff's transport department.
Albert E. Curtis has been appointed UK and Ireland sales representative of Integrated Container Service Inc., New York. He was formerly general sates manager, Cravens Homalloy (Sheffield) Ltd.
Frank Reir of Murray and Charlton Ltd., Blaydon, has been elected chairman of the TRTA Northern division. He was previously divisional vice chairman. Jack Worsley, group transport manager of Morton's (Coventry) Ltd., has been promoted to company freight sales executive for home and overseas business. He became group transport manager two years ago and is succeeded in that position by Herbert Stokes, for five years manager at the company's tractor despatch compound at Massey Ferguson, Banner Lane, Coventry. Ernest Rigby, manager of the Whitriash, Rock Farm and Baginton depots, now becomes manager of Banner Lane depot. Mr. Rigby joined Morton soon after the Whitnash depot opened in 1962.
Graham Stuart Robottom, 33, has been appointed the TRTA's second West Midland goods vehicle inspector. Before joining the TRTA he was workshop manager for Burgess and Garfield Ltd., Ford main dealers in Birmingham.
