polyester resins and a general reduction in polyester resin prices have been made by British Resin Products, Ltd. Eight new .isophthalic-based polyester resins, a new general purpose resin and a new promoter, are now available in addition to the established grades.
Isophthalic-based polyester resins have improved chemical resistance and adhesion and are rapidly superseding orthophthalic resins for applications where these qualities are necessary. The new promoter increases the rate of resin cure without disturbing the gel time and thus allows faster mould turn-round.
